Fakt Mono Design Information

TYPE BY Fakt Mono, is designed by Thomas Thiemich and is one of his latest commercial releases next to Cobertura, Gustella, Rosalinde, and Fakt Stencil, published in May 2019 on the occasion of Type By launch.

Just like its original sanserif parent - Fakt - Fakt Mono is a highly functional sanserif. It brings the well-crafted monospaced proportions to an already powerful superfamily, bringing a new tool to coders, UI designers, or graphic designers with a passion for lightly flavoured but well built monospaced fonts.

Fakt Mono consists of nine weights of roman and italic designs, available in one width. The Fakt Mono font family has an extended range of thin weights, including the ethereal ‘Air’, but it is missing the Black weight to due legibility concerns. Its character set includes stylistic alternates, and multiple figure sets (each in tabular and proportional widths); fractions; comprehensive superiors, inferiors, numerators and denominators; case sensitive punctuation sets; mathematical and monetary symbols; arrows; standard and discretionary ligatures (with their stylistic alternates); and a complete range of accents for all Western, Central and East European languages based on the Latin script.

Fakt Mono is available in OTF CFF, TTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 formats. Legacy font formats are available on request.

The Fakt superfamily spans across multiple stylistic variants: Fakt, Fakt Slab, Fakt Soft, Fakt Stencil, Fakt Slab Stencil, and Fakt Mono. Most of Fakt's stylistic variants are available in multiple widths – please consult the product pages of each design for more information.
